Selecting F1 activates the auxilliary compressor and then plays the sound of the pantograph rising and contacting the overhead line.

Use of the DCC throttle speed control will then play through acceleration cruising and deceleration sounds as normal.

At the end of use the release of function key F1 then plays the sound of lowering the pantograph.

The sounds used in this project are based on a class 350 but could potentially be used for other Siemens Desiro electric units such as 360, 380, 444 & 450
