This kit is a model of a typical GWR brick built signal box with a hipped roof, built between 1896 and 1921. In practice there were many small differences between individual signal boxes as they were often tailored to fit the location, a good example is on the South Devon Railway at Buckfastleigh. The Ratio Signal Box Interior kit 553 will provide a wealth of interior detail. Supplied with pre-coloured parts although painting and/or weathering can add realism (See the Pecoscene Weathering Powder range PS-360 - 365); glue is required to complete this model.
